Dear Veronika, I'm amazed that I've not heard of John M. before. I'm familiar and acquainted with several musicians in Toronto. John Norris and I have been friends for years. John's got everything: tone, technique extraordinaire, and seemingly unending ideas. Just when you think you've heard everything on tenor, a young player like him comes along and opens new horizons. This is a brilliant and well-thought out CD. I'm a tenorist myself and probably three times John's age. I wish I could get back to Toronto. I'd be looking to hear him live.
